The Stage is Set: Join Our Annual Spring ASL Show

We are thrilled to invite local high schools and homeschool programs to take part in our Annual Spring ASL Show. This signature event is a vibrant celebration of manual communication and Deaf culture, typically held on a Saturday in late April or early May. It serves as a prestigious platform where, with prior approval, students can prepare and perform an ASL song or narrative on stage. This event isn't just a recital; it is a massive collaborative effort that brings together approximately 100 ASL students from 5 to 10 local programs, creating a powerful network of young signers.

The criticality of your support cannot be overstated. An event of this magnitude—balancing lighting, sound, choreography, and linguistic accuracy—relies entirely on the active participation and enthusiasm of our local schools. For many students, this is the first time they will step out of a quiet classroom and into a high-visibility environment where their signs must be clear, expressive, and culturally respectful. Without the dedicated involvement of teachers, parents, and student performers, we lose this vital bridge between academic study and public advocacy.

Your participation is the heartbeat of this show. By committing to this performance, you are helping to sustain a tradition that proves ASL is a living, breathing art form. The Spring ASL Show provides a rare sense of community-scale immersion that a single classroom simply cannot replicate. We need your energy, your practice hours, and your presence on stage to ensure that the beauty of ASL continues to be showcased to the wider Temecula community. Let’s work together to make this year’s performance the most impactful one yet!
